Privacy

Botsket keeps as little as it can: no accounts, no cookies, no tracking scripts, and no IP addresses.

What we record when Botsket is used

For each search, offer check or store lookup, whether it comes from a person on this site, from the JSON API or from an AI assistant through MCP, we record:

• the time, and what was asked: the search words and filters, or the offer or store;
• the user-agent string the browser or client sends, and for MCP the client's name and version (for example "ChatGPT");
• a salted one-way hash of the IP address, so we can count how many different callers there are. The IP address itself is not stored, and our web server keeps no access log.

We do not ask for, and do not want, names, email addresses, payment details or other personal data in searches.

If you email us, we keep your message and address to answer you, for up to 12 months after the conversation ends. Our email runs on Google Workspace.

Why

To count how much Botsket is used and by which assistants, to learn what people and agents look for so the index covers it, and to keep the service working and free of abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Who receives it

Nobody else. The usage records stay on our server, hosted by Oracle Cloud in Germany; email is handled by Google Workspace. Both work under their data processing terms. We do not sell, share or advertise with any of it.

How long

Usage records are deleted after 90 days.

Links to stores

Product links lead to the stores' own sites and carry utm_source=botsket, so a store can see in its analytics that a visit came through Botsket. What happens on a store's site is covered by that store's privacy policy.

Store data

Product listings come from each store's public WooCommerce product API. Stores can opt out, see our crawler.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of data about you, and object to its use, by writing to hello@botsket.com. Because we keep only a hash of the IP address, we usually cannot tell which records are yours. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).
